More waterfront for everyone

We live in a waterfront community. We should be able to enjoy more of it.
Sooke already has a number of public water access points, but many are difficult to find or use. 

Let's start there – identify the easy improvements that could make existing public access more welcoming and useful.

And as large waterfront properties in our community are eventually redeveloped, we have an opportunity to do more. Public waterfront access, trails and gathering spaces should be part of the conversation before development happens, not an afterthought.

We're not talking about taking anyone's private property. We're talking about making better use of the public access we already have and planning ahead for opportunities as Sooke grows.

The waterfront is one of Sooke's greatest assets. Let's make more of it accessible to everyone.
