Sooke is our home

Growth should leave Sooke better, not simply bigger. Following a plan matters.

Sooke will change. The question in this election is what that change will look like.

Can families get around safely? Does infrastructure keep up? Can people find more services closer to home? Can we protect the character of our town as we grow?

Do we protect our streams, forests and waterfront? Do we have parks, recreation and places to gather? Are community voices heard and respected when decisions are made?

These are some of the questions behind Sooke Together's 36 action items – practical steps to address Sooke's challenges, respect our community's vision and plan for the future.

We know there are no quick fixes, and we can't do everything at once. Some things will take time, cooperation and funding from other levels of government.

But we believe Council needs clear priorities, a long-term view, and a commitment to listening to residents and following the plans our community has worked hard to create.

Growth is coming. Our job is to manage it well. Read our 36 action items at sooketogether.ca.

Growth should leave Sooke better, not simply bigger.

On October 17, vote Sooke Together: Helen Ritts, Steve Sorensen, Susan Belford and Brian McHattie for Council.
